Applications are created and submitted through our application site. Applications submitted in other formats, such as by email or physical mail, will not be accepted.
To access the application, you must complete an Eligibility Questionnaire to ensure that you meet all the necessary criteria and do not submit an application that is not eligible.
The application consists of seven mandatory tasks:
Personal information and professional history
Description of grant request
Artistic proposal
Budget
Artist statement
Portfolio of six works and an image of one of the works in your portfolio in situ.
A letter of recommendation to be submitted directly through the application site by your referee
Once in the application, you will find step by step guidance on how to complete each task. Please read the detailed instructions thoroughly.
Application materials can be submitted in English or French; if any required materials do not appear in these languages in their original form, such as proof of ID or address, you must also upload an official French or English translation along with the original document.
Preparing an application takes time, so we urge you to complete and review your documentation well before the cycle close date (see below for cycle dates). Grants are awarded only to the strongest applications, so ensuring you have provided all necessary documentation and represented your objectives clearly and persuasively is crucial to success.
